Basic level B
Evolution and biodiversity (15 hp). Continued studies of evolutionary theory and systematics.
Floristics; vascular plants (7.5 hp). Continued studies of field botany.
Floristics; mosses and lichens (6 hp). Continued studies of field botany.
Research traineeship (7.5-15 hp). Continued studies.
Plant diversity and evolution – a global perspective (15 hp). Master course in plant systematics and evolution. The course provides advanced knowledge of the diversity of terrestrial plants, their structure and evolution from a comparative phylogenetic perspective. Much emphasis is placed on studying and being able to describe living material. The course is based on tree-thinking, modern classifications and the most recent research results. The course also includes a field study of approximately one week, an individual research project, and study visits. The course is given in the period March–June.
